Phase V – You’re Such a Disappointment.

Phase V brought email after email about all my imaginary failings. He picked, picked, picked. If I wrote (just an example) “pink,” he said I should have said “hot pink.” If I wrote “hot pink” he said it should have been “pink”…don’t need all that detail! It had to be frustrating for him. I would just quit working for the day. I didn’t get paid, of course, if not working, but it was like working in a sweat shot. Writing for him started bordering on ridiculousness. I began to tell him I thought our days were numbered. I meant it.
